Take the damn photo 📷

You know as I flick through my camera roll on my phone, the number of photos I took in 2020 was about an 1/8 of what I would normally take in any given year and 2021 isn’t working out to be much better.

When we have been forced to spend so much time at home it’s felt like there has been little reason to reach for my phone to capture the moments. I’ll be honest there definitely has been less happy and fun moments over the last 17 months, less travel, less adventure and less exploring but there hasn’t been any less growing.

A memory popped up of my girls recently and I was shocked at how much they had grown in the last year. It was then I realised that I owe it to them and myself to document these years. Whilst a very different life to what we once knew, it’s life all the same. One that I’m hopeful that I can share with their children through photos and stories about what we lived through.

It's time to take more photos. And please don't wait for your hair to be done, make up to be on or to put on a different outfit.. take the damn photo and make sure you are in it! And if you aren’t a parent, take the photo for your own memories ✌🏼
